Documenting Batch IDs in Lab Notebooks
Traceability practices that satisfy internal QA and external audit requirements.

Every peptide vial used in a study should map to a batch-specific COA. Record catalog SKU, batch number, receipt date, and storage location at minimum.
When multiple batches of the same compound are active, never assume interchangeability — purity and impurity profiles can differ between lots even within specification.
Link COA PDFs or chromatogram files in your ELN when possible. For paper notebooks, attach a printed COA cover sheet or reference the document ID from the Tetrava COA Library URL.
Traceability supports reproducibility: if a result cannot be tied to a batch, it should not be used in comparative analysis or publication supplementary data.
