Peptide Reconstitution Calculations
Convert lyophilized milligrams to working concentration with simple lab math.

Reconstitution math starts with the peptide mass on the vial label. A 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water yields 2.5 mg/mL (2,500 µg/mL).
To target a specific concentration: divide total peptide mass (in µg) by desired volume (in mL). Example: 10 mg (10,000 µg) in 4 mL = 2,500 µg/mL.
For dosing calculations, convert your desired microgram dose into volume: dose (µg) ÷ concentration (µg/mL) = draw volume (mL). Always double-check unit conversions before preparing study material.
Document solvent choice, final concentration, and calculation steps in your lab notebook. Small arithmetic errors are a common source of irreproducible peptide study results.
